Entertaining is one of my favorite things to do in my home, and Publix has all my essentials for creating the perfect snack board to share with my guests.

I like to start off with Stonemill Kitchens Premium Dip as my base, and then add a variety of veggies, fruits, crackers, chips, and other sides.

Tip 2-Keep Your Guests Comfortable

Depending on your location, different factors may affect your guests. Have plenty of mosquito repellant, and citronella candles, if you live in a bug-prone area (like us in Florida.) If it will be cold, have blankets or heaters available. Hot? Fans or spray bottles of water. Umbrellas if you could expect rain.

Make sure there is plenty of seating for your guests as well-towels, blankets, and chairs.

Tip 3-Entertainment

Your guests are eating well and they’re comfortable, but you want to make sure they are entertained. Put our yard games like giant Jenga or corn hole to give them the option to play. Hook up a speaker to music.

Tip 4-Don’t Stress About Dishware

Don’t worry about mixing and matching dishes. When the dishes are varied, your guests will feel more relaxed. Feel free to use disposable dishes and tableware for less clean-up. Pairing wooden cutting boards, white plates and floral bowls will give an overall easy-going vibe. And bonus: When you use disposable tableware, you don’t run the risk of guests breaking any of your dishes!

Tip 5-Create a Drink Station

Especially if it’s hot, make water and drinks readily available for your guests. If you are serving beer, wine, and liquor, keep it in coolers and available to your guests to grab as they please. Buy plenty of ice. Depending on the length of your party, plan for 1-2 pounds of ice per person.

A mobile bar cart would make things very easy. When supplies are running low, simply wheel the bar cart back indoors, refill and bring it outside.

Encourage guests to help themselves. Keep cups out so you can enjoy the party.

Pro Tip: Mix up a big batch cocktail. Serve pitcher style.

Pro Tip: Keep your Stonemill Kitchens Premium Dips cold by placing them on a bowl of ice (sprinkled with kosher salt) outdoors. Just keep an eye out and replenish the ice throughout the party.
